Issue 02: Creative Corner

We’re honoured to share these two beautiful poems by teen poet, Kio.

It has been such a long journey
A tiring and lonely one
I feel my knees trembling
My whole body, in fact

I can feel the walls closing in
Bit by bit
It suffocates me
I feel like I have my whole body
Tied up and thrown into the ocean

I strive to free myself
Yet I am unable to move
I will close my eyes, for now
And I’ll let myself sink
Till someone comes to save me
Or till I lay here in eternal sleep.

Close your eyes and breathe.
You no longer have to worry.

Just take it slow and feel for your heart.
Find yourself, somehow.
In all those broken pieces,
Find yourself.
